I'm afraid not. the photographs came to me from an elderly Thorp relative who was himself a keen amateur photographer who developed his own pictures. He sent them by post to me in 2008 but with no covering letter. I understood that very soon afterwards he became seriously unwell - we had corresponded happily via email for a year or two but he became incapable. I do not even know where he lived.
Ada did not marry until she was 36 - in 1925 but had known her future husband for many years - again according to family gossip so the dates suggested are possible. I am not at all au fait with using costume or clothing to date photographs.
