sorry. me again.
not sure if that is the right marriage for william and elizabeth
this census is correct because of the known twins
1841 oswestry.shropshire.
william jones aged 40
sarah jones aged aged 55. that would be nee grafton
william aged 14 who married elizabeth
edward 12
susannah 10
emma 10

It was the nearest marriage that I could find. I did say that father was named John in the earlier post.

I've found a marriage in Oswestry  on Jun 3 1859 between William Jones and Elizabeth Jones. Both living Oswestry. Elizabeth's father is given as Thomas Jones,  labourer.

I'm sure I found a birth for Elizabeth with father Thomas.

This may or may not be your Elizabeth.

Are you sure that you have the correct family?

thank you for the reply.
yes Avrils eldest brother carried out search some years ago and visited the churches etc.
Williams parents were given as William Jones born 1801 in Oswestry and he married Sarah Grafton b 1796 in Oswestry he mentions Sarah having a smallholding possibly in Maesbury and William going there after the marriage.they married in 1824.
but all he has of Elizabeth is that she was from Llanrhaidr and that is confirmed in the census records. wonder if Elizabeth was born a little earlier. dont worry if you cant find it. i never have. thanks.brian

I've had a look at the tree that you have on Ancestry about this family. It is full of inconsistencies - especially the confusion between the two Llanrhaeadrs . The families seem to hop about between the two!

I really think you should start again, working back from Albert.

Good Luck
