There is nothing in those records which point to Manchester.
From looking at a couple of trees, with very little information, a sister, Christina Foy, b 1915/6 looks to have married in Lancashire.

I looked these up earlier trying to establish an English link.

A witness to that wedding was Patrick Foy.

Possible marriage with a father Thomas

There are several Foys in the same area but wonder if this is Christopher snr’s birth?

1875 - father Thomas Foy - mother Catherine Coogan

1878 - Thomas - with the same parents (transcribed as Fay)

1901 census - mother Catherine with son Thomas

I am not sure if these are the correct family. I can’t see a birth for Frederick Hamill, the 4 yr old grandson. In 1911, Thomas Foy has a 21 yr old brother, Fredrick  :-\

There still doesn’t seem to be that English connection.
