Hoping someone can help me with this small but wonderful photo of my great grandfather as a child.    Would love it if it can be cleaned up and made clearer - happy with anything you can do!  Many thanks.

Hi and welcome to Rootschat, would it be possible to scan this in colour mode and at a resolution of 600dpi. You can post a file size of just below 500kbs and this file is very small at 68kb. The results will  be so much better as that would give us more detail to work with.

As Treetotal posted, more pixels would allow us to give better results ... in the meantime my experimenting with GIMP for colouring continues ... cheers, Ian

Many thanks for the restoration undertaken on my photo.   I will see if I can get another copy with more pixels, but not so sure.  I love the different versions provided, thank you for your efforts!  I’d like to share. Pls let me know if that is ok with your work…. Post into our family tree.  Thanks
