LizzieL:I agree with the parents names. The parents are all from the Bristol area too, except Mary is from Bath.

Thomas is a Haulier in 1881, so in a position to travel from Bristol to South Wales on a regular basis, maybe try DNA on this one.

Marmlady: I hadn't found that reference. Could you tell me where you found it please?

I found it on FreeBMD by searching Week*s, no forename and Mar 1873 - Dec 1873
Wainwright - Yorkshire
Whitney - Herefordshire
Watson -  Northamptonshire
Trant - Yorkshire
Helps - all
Needham - Derbyshire
Waterhouse - Derbyshire
Northing - all

WEEKS, MARY  SELINA AGNES
Mother's maiden surname: ENGLAND
GRO Reference: 1869  S Quarter in CLIFTON  Volume 06A  Page 123

WEEKS, ELIZABETH  ANN
Mother's maiden surname: ENGLAND
GRO Reference: 1871  D Quarter in CLIFTON  Volume 06A  Page 120

WEEKS, WILLIAM
Mother's maiden surname: ENGLAND
GRO Reference: 1876  S Quarter in BEDMINSTER  Volume 05C  Page 666

WEEKS, ANN

WEEKS, THOMAS  SHADRACH

Wow! So much praise to heap, where to start?

Marmalady: FreeBMD! Of course! Why didn't I think to look there? "My mind is going, I can feel it..." Thank you for the reminder. It's been a long time since I did any real research and I'm SO rusty.

and LizzieL: I'm guessing that with a Birth and Death registered within six months and no name, that it's an infant death? Not expected to live perhaps? And probably not Rose?

Debra: You've shown me that I was looking in the wrong district. Apparently Clifton was a separate place to Bristol, until March 1877 (according to FreeBMD). Make the search change in Ancestry and there it is. I wonder how how much more I've missed? All of the References, Clifton, Bedminster, Barton Regis, are all to areas within the city of Bristol, which is what I would expect. Selina Cantle is shown from Keynsham, a small town just outside Bristol. Mary E England shows from Bath, again not far.

The search change in Ancestry shows up a LOT of Weeks entries in Clifton, so obviously a cluster of familes there. I need to check further there now for any related to mine.
