Diagonal handwriting in a letter 1871
« on: Thursday 13 January 22 10:11 GMT (UK) »
Hello there, I would love some help deciphering the diagonal writing in a letter. They are a secretary's notes across a letter from a teacher. There are just a few words I can't make out. Thank you!

I wonder if if it is 'desiring' rather than 'deserving'

Could be. Looking again at the previous line, I now think it is not untenable, but undesirable. Corrected above.
