1959 Address in Crewe - Illegible ?
« on: Sunday 23 January 22 16:47 GMT (UK) »
Happy New Year all..... (first post this year).
Hoping someone with better skills than me can has at a guess for an address in Crewe circa 1959.
I have attached a cropped image from a certificate clearly stating a number 30 but the street, road or something else, eludes me.
Second word could start with an F as it appears similar to the 'F' in "February" above, but as for the rest of the second word ..... no idea.
Haven't been able to find a suitable street atlas for this period to look through street names etc.
Just hoping anyone knowledgeable with 1950's / 1960's Crewe addresses may be able to shed light on this. It may even be on the outskirts of Crewe town centre itself perhaps.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like Elm Drive, Crewe to me.

Any chance this is related to a Mrs. Crabtree?
There is a notice in a 28 Feb 1959 newspaper of a family thanking folks for their sympathies following the death of Mrs Crabtree ; the notice ends with an address of 30 Elm Drive, Crewe.

Yes, I’d date the building of the property as late 1950s.

Many thanks to everyone who responded.

manukarik...Elm Drive looks good particularly as bbart has kindly referenced a newspaper notice re Mrs Crabtree of 30 Elm Drive, which I guess confirms the address, and the dating of the building to be circa late 1950's by Ray T.

bbart …. yes …. For ref Mrs Crabtree (nee Heaps) passed away on 15th February at this address. She was indirectly related to me thro her eldest brother ….. my paternal grandfather.
