Just found a marriage cert for a Isabella west to a John boyd in 1920 however fathers names are hard to read so need to check this out a bit more

Def can’t find Samuel George Boyd’s April 1896 mother Mary Brown Father Samuel Boyd birth or David Cowan Boyd born 1920 birth certificate online

Looks like the fathers are William Boyd (deceased) and George West (shoemaker) in the Isabella West/John Boyd wedding.  The witnesses are William Boyd and Harriett West.
Boyd is a BIG name in Northern Ireland so you will be in for lots of fun as you go back......!

John H Boyd born 1899
Robert James Boyd born 1886

Parents Samuel Boyd and Mary Brown

I have this info from the census can’t find my grandad birth certificate

In stone info i have my grandad born 25th April 1896 Belfast and died 13th August 1960 Forth, Lanarkshire. His brother David born 1904 Belfast died 12th Feb 1922 in Belfast shot by IRA. His sister Mary (know as Minnie) born 18th October 1887 and died 18th October 1949

To me these births seem suspiciously far apart. It is almost as though there may have been two families ie the mother of Robert and Mary/Minnie belonging to a first family and the rest to a second family.  Or else children have died or the father has been away, army or at sea or working abroad.

Marr 1885
Robt James 1886
Mary/Minnie 1887

OP's grandfather 1896
John H Boyd 1899
David 1904

The Census in 1901 has
Samuel Boyd
Mary Boyd
Robert James Boyd 15
Mary Boyd 13
Samuel Boyd 5
John Hy (Henry?) Boyd 2

In 1911 harrison St Shankill Antrim.
Samuel Boyd born Co Down
Mary Boyd born Co Antrim

Mary Boyd McClurg* 24 Born Co Antrim
Samuel G Boyd 15 Born Belfast
John Hy (Henry?) Boyd 11 Belfast
and
David Boyd 8 Born Belfast

* Mary is married to
William McClurg
with children
Anna E 2 years
Mary 3mths

Robert James Boyd is not with the family, he would have been 25.

Here's the link to that marriage, for others trying to understand this thread-

Isabella's father looks more like Jas (James) than George.

It seems John was still in Ireland when the mum died in 1941 as he is mentioned in a newspaper article on her death and living at 118 Urney street and grandchildren are mentioned and a daughter in law so just need to find and verify this area.

The clue was the James west who died at this address in 1930 and this also being David Cowans address so need to find his birth

Did they mention the names of the grandchildren and daughter-in-law?

Not that this helps finding a birth record for David - notice of the death of Samuel in Belfast Telegraph

Samuel Cowan Boyd (wee Sammie) age 3 years 10 months called Home on the 10th June 1935 and was laid to rest in the City Cemetery
Remembered by loving Aunt Minnie M’Clurg
Also Daddy and little brother David

also these

Ever remembered by his sorrowing Cousin Annie Henderson

And Ever remembered by his sorrowing Cousin Minnie and wee Willie Parsons; also Grandmother 118 Urney Street, Belfast

There’s mention of David Boyd on
13 February 1922 - Belfast News-Letter - Belfast, Antrim, Northern Ireland

Sunday Disturbance

Firing broke out in the Old Lodge Road area….
David Boyd age 18 of 118 Urney Street..........

Robert James Boyd born 1886

Might this be a possibility for the marriage of Robert James Boyd - you would need to obtain the marriage cert to check father's name

Robert James Boyd
Date of Registration:   1910, Apr-May-Jun
Registration district:   Dungannon, Ireland
Volume:   1 Page number:   611
Records on Page

and I wonder if they went to US then Canada?

EDITED to remove US & Canadian details as it's wrong RJB

Thank you, I have checked Canada Robert James Boyd this a different date of birth and mother maiden name thank you so much

I forgot that CaroleW mentioned you had a tree on Anc*y I should have checked there first as you have Robert's death 5 Feb 1904 Drumaroad, Down although you have not added the death certificate available to view on irishgeneanlogy
