Yes Bumble  B ,seem to be for right handlers only ,no cuddly whiffers catered for ,or crack handers.
I have a nice one that matches my toaster ,both from Aldi ,but the kettle is very wide at the base.
You have to boil so much more than you need for one cup or mug .
A cheapie from Wilko’s has lasted for four years £ 9 ,as you say no point always in paying a lot.
The toaster was from Aldi ,looks really good and works well too.
Have a huge four slice one from years ago when we were all five at home
but so big .White too.
My new kettle is a Morphy Richards.
By the way ,half a lemon even if  it has been squeezed ,squashed even squozen  ???in a bowl of hot  water in the microwave for a few minutes on high will take away lingering odours such as those from kippers cooked in the bag—- which often bursts!

Hope all is well TY .
Cheerio.
Viktoria.

That  sounds exciting   but  not  for  me, my  husband  years ago  bought a mirror  dinghy, I  only ever  went in it once, it was  a shame   really  as  my  husband   I think  would  have  got  a  bigger boat, I  was  more than  a  liability than  a  help.

The lasting life of electric kettles etc., is usually more to do with the water that is boiled in them! We live in a very soft water area, so I was surprised a few years ago to see a load of packets of a product to de-scale kettles ( needed in hard water areas) on our local supermarket shelves. (They didn't seem to sell well, somehow?)
Muddling on, Viktoria, long way to go in this race, thanks for the concern.

We have a Russell Hobbs electric kettle that we love, it is glass see through.  Our second RH.  Are electric kettles popular in the UK?  They are in Canada but in US it seems to be stove top kettles.

I believe that nowadays the "in-thing" is to have a "boiler tap" - my daughter doesn't have a kettle, she just turns the water tap in another direction!  :-\

I see stove top kettles on British tv shows.  Maybe they are more dramatic!
