I'm looking at a family that disappears from the records, is this indicative of emigration or am I missing something obvious? Did army families get moved around?
The parents of the family were Wright/Bodfish. The marriage seems to be this one -
Marriage S Quarter 1903
WRIGHT John James Kingston Volume 02A 843
BODFISH Lilian Kingston Volume 02A 843
I can't find births for either of these people but that's a different issue.
The three children I can find were -
WRIGHT, LILIAN GRACE MMN BODFISH
GRO Reference: 1904 J Quarter in FARNHAM Volume 02A Page 142
WRIGHT, JOHN WILLIAM GEORGE MMN BODFISH
GRO Reference: 1906 J Quarter in FARNHAM Volume 02A Page 129
WRIGHT, EDWARD MMN BODFISH
GRO Reference: 1910 M Quarter in KINGSTON Volume 02A Page 473
After the 1910 birth I can find no references to any of these 5 individuals anywhere. Certainly there's nothing in the 1911 Census, the 1921 Census or the 1939 Register. I know that JOHN WILLIAM GEORGE WRIGHT was in the UK after WW2, but that's all. At the moment I've got FindMyPast but not Ancestry. I looked at Immigration/Travel but couldn't see them there. Did the army move families around when serving men were posted? I assume, if they did leave the country it would be as a group. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
