Hilton of Aldie  -
John Reid  was born about 1759 died 2nd April 1801 aged 42,
Son Henry Born about 1793/1795 who died 2nd April 1806 aged 11 years old.
Son James born 5th April 1796, Baptism 10th April 1796 and died 1st August 1822/1823 aged 26
All buried at Crook of Devon Church.
Son John Reid Born at Hilton of Aldie 04.06.1798. He Died in 1871 - don't know where he is buried, but his wife was Ann Archibald I think

I am looking for other children from this family and John Reid's wife who maybe Grizel Robertson but I can find nothing to confirm this.

There is a will & testament for a John Reid who died in 1880:

In case this helps:

Dundee Courier 03 August 1931

Two aged residents of Freuchie died yesterday.
One was Miss Grace Reid, who for the past seven years had resided with
Miss Husband, Main Street.  She was born in the village of Fossaway 91 years
ago, her father being the late Mr. John Reid, Aldie Farm, Fossaway.

There is this marriage/banns showing:

John Reid and Grizel Robertson
Marriage 13 Dec 1800 Logierait, Perth

So, is this another couple with the same names? You mentioned that John Snr died 1801? Likely because of the location of this marriage, some of the children from the list above would belong to this couple?

Many thanks everyone  for all info, I will check it out.
The Farm is sometimes called Hilton of Aldie, also Backside of Aldie, East Aldie.

The Reid family were tenants of the farm for generations and "Gossip/Rumours"  say they were given it for "Services" which are unknown. (Not been able to find out why)They certainly occupied the home farm for many generations without paying any rent.
