A son John was b 1905 Gateshead & James 1906

These 2 are not the children of James and Catherine but of a George Frederick Hogarth who married an Alice Cuthbertson in Sept.qtr.1904 Gateshead.  All 4 together in 1911.

For interest, in case you don't have this information already - James Kennedy HOGARTH of 86 Addison St, Heaton took out a patent on an adjustable finger rest for the concertina in 1890.

Still looking for them after 1901 ...

Did they move to Africa? there is a death for a Catherine Streffon HOGARTH in Zimbabwe in 1934 aged 60. Widowed, one child, born England.  :-\

Also a Gerald HOGARTH a driver in the British South Africa Police 1916-17

Modified: Death in Zimbabwe also says 1 sister in England.
And I see a Catherine Straffen CUTHBERTSON birth registered Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1874.  :)
