Firstly I must apologise because  is my first cousin, not his son!
Johnhood - Yes that is the father's (my uncle’s) death in Demeirionnydd that I obtained G’s details from.  The details you found for the 1939 birth rule him out too because G’s mother was  Annie Jones
Thanks Carole, 1928 would be too early so he’s not the 2001 death then. I can confirm that Gs middle name is on the death certificate
 William’s wife was Annie Jones. I should have mentioned that they are in the 1939 register with two possible children/closed records at the same address so one of them may be G

Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy - & I think we are looking at that type of situation here. 

The Roberts/Jones marriage appears to be 1938 & I think the subject of this post was only b 1943.  It is more than likely he is still alive so all references to him need to be deleted from all posts - including the subject header

Hi William was my grandfather. He had 2 children a son and a daughter, my mother. We believed his name and Date of birth was different so had trouble locating a birth certificate. We have just found details of his parents and all his siblings today on archive.com. Would love to chat to any of his relatives to share information.

William Egerton Roberts was my grand father who sadly passed away on the 31st July 1994.
It would be so lovely to connect with any of his relatives who may have some more information.
