Whilst many will be saying 'about time' I'm not so sure. I'm quite happy keeping myself to myself and I certainly intend to carry on wearing a mask in busy places like the supermarket.

Life has to go on, I have no problem with that as long as it goes on carefully, it's the 'I'm alright Jack' idiots out there who only think of themselves that worry me.

I say it is time for the legal restrictions to be lifted but I would also say we still need to take sensible precautions such as wearing a well fitting KN95 or N95 mask for self protection in crowded or busy places.
Even at the height of covid I saw people wearing masks with valves that allowed the wearer's breath to be expelled without filtering, that did not protect others, which is what the regulations were trying to achieve.
Cheers

If we cannot protect the Queen then what chance is there for the rest of us.

Keep yourself safe, the biggest danger is having a conversation with someone who is unknowingly infected.

We might have other things more serious to occupy us in the next week or so.

I was called sanctimonious on a different thread for saying I was still sanitising and wearing a mask but I'm still going to wear one if I think I need to!

Nothing wrong with protecting yourself and others rayard.

I would have preferred that the government waited perhaps another month but their interest is in rebuilding the economy now that fewer people are being hospitalised. One of the regular doctors on a TV programme commented that you wouldn't send your child to school with chickenpox so hopefully people would use the same sort of commonsense in this. She's right of course but the problem is that whereas you would know if your child had chickenpox you wouldn't necessarily know if they had Covid, especially in children. And people who decide to soldier on and attend the office with a streaming cold are also likely to do so with mild Covid symptoms.

Time will tell.

I will still wear a mask when outside my property boundary. I am watching the situation in the USA with his new variant.
Boris and Co will be delighted with the restrictions being lifted. It will be party, party, party at number 10.

I've just come home after a visit to Hospital out-patients.  Masks are still mandatory and there are sanitisers on every corner.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
