Hi Sandra,

Yes, that is any descendants of Isabella out of the picture. Which leaves us with 4 children to pursue. I have been looking at them and will post my findings. The unfortunate thing is, as you will already be aware of, is a follows - Not available online - Births less than 100 years, Marriages less than 75 years and Deaths less than 50 years.

The next Child of James Greenan is James Greenan born 3/2/1907. He married Annie Cairns on 4/4/1936 and died on 17/12/1950 at 24 Pipe Street, Portobello, Edinburgh.  His death was registered by his widow Annie. Annie died in 1998 so no way of knowing who registered her death. There are a number of possible children of this marriage in the SP Index but no way of knowing who they were.

Patrick, Fife
Easson, Fife
Leslie, Fife
Paterson, Fife

Very good findings. Thank you for your help.
Sorry a little tied up at mo but believe there was a son born 3 Feb 1937 Portobella Edinburgh (same name as father) Annie may have been Annie Banks Cairns.

Thank You
Sandra

A James Greenan, possibly of Portobello, died in Cheshire in 2011, aged 73. There was a death notice in Scotsman, but Legacy no longer provide access, so can't see full details.

I have not included wife's name in case she is still living.

Ok, there is a tree on Ancestry for above James and parents were James and Annie, . He was born Portobello in 1937.
Looks to have had at least one daughter. I have sent owner a message with link to this thread.

Thank you for your input.  I see the tree thinks James was born in Portobella Yorkshire   :-\
