Headstone
« on: Monday 14 March 22 22:46 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,
I'm new to this chat,
I wish to ask if there is anyway I can find out if my relatives have a headstone.
My great grandmother passed away in 1900 and is buried at St Kentigerns cemetery alongside 4 other extended relatives.
I know the Lair details etc if that makes it any easier,
Thanks in advance  :)

lthough you can refine the search.
https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2147985/memorial-search?firstname=&middlename=&lastname=&cemeteryName=Saint+Kentigerns+Cemetery&birthyear=&birthyearfilter=&deathyear=1900&deathyearfilter=&memorialid=&mcid=&linkedToName=&datefilter=&orderby=r&plot=

The records seem quite good for that Cemetery but are not always complete.
Alternatively you could contact the local council that deals with cemeteries, sorry dont know the area but in general they are very helpful .

Hi Cathy Monica and other helpful posters,
I believe some of St Kentigerns Catholic Cemetery-Maryhill headstones were destroyed?? at some point,??
If so would anyone know if there were particular Lairs?
My great grandmother Susan McAdam was buried in Lair 4 /2167 I believe alongside 4 other family members. I would love to know if they had a headstone and if not I would wish to hopefully arrange one.
I'm aware I would need permission from the owner but not sure if the deeds have expired.
I have emailed the Council ans await a reply,
Thanks in advance  :)

Can I suggest you add a post on the main thread I linked. Lots of people have posted there over the years and many have more local or detailed knowledge of the cemetery.
