I am wondering whether the biblical names in my family indicate that they were Nonconformists:
- Abel, 1650s to 1750s
- Aaron 1780s to 1870s
- Samuel 1670s to 1840s
- Philip 1730s to 1870s.
They were Wesleyans from the 1850s (or earlier?), but I wonder whether these names hint at association with the Old Dissent, or with earlier Wesleyans. Any ideas?
