Oakfield Cottages in Pontyberem
« on: Wednesday 16 March 22 14:16 GMT (UK) »
I found Oakfield Cottages in Pontyberem on the 1921 census and its shown as near Pentre Mawr and Pentre Bach but this location is used for several addresses that are miles away from each other so cannot be relied on for precise location.

Thanks for your reply.
Oak Villa is a substantial pair of houses that are still standing and listed separately on the 1921 census.

Oakfield cottage was one of three and consisted of 2 rooms and probably demolished.  I suspect that they were all in the same area as Oakfield Garage was built nearby at a later date.

UPDATE
Using the Schedule numbering from the 1921 census places Oakfield Cottages near the Pontyberem Railway station .  I can remember a large mansion type house called Oakfield being nearby but not in the census.

Can anyone advise whether using the schedule number is appropriate for location purposes.
