Returning to my research
« on: Friday 18 March 22 11:40 GMT (UK) »
Hello everyone.  I wanted to introduce myself and say how pleased I am to have found this site.  Retirement has given me the opportunity to finally get back to my family tree research which I originally started over 20 years ago.  I'm feeling like a beginner all over again as there are so many more online resources available to learn about. I have a lot of catching up to do!

If you're not already, you'll soon be as a
obsessive as the rest of us! How much have you already managed?
Welcome.

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome.  ThrelfallYorky was asking how much of the tree I've already done.  My initial aim was to find all of the 3XGGP for both myself and my husband, which I managed with the exception of 3 of them.  So I've now moved onto the 4XGGP.  I have to confess that I've chosen the branches with the less common surnames to start with!

Sounds like a good plan to me - think I did the same.

Hello louisa maud, glad you like the user name.  I was struggling to find one that hadn't already been taken and it seemed appropriate as I am very fond of pandas.  I have a lovely handmade fabric panda face mask, but I had to buy it as unfortunately sewing is not a skill of mine!
