Not sure if this has been posted and also not sure how to share.  I subscribe to Facebook 'Time Team' and have just been alerted to a 'New Dig'

Can you give a little background, I have never heard of it before now?  What are they digging for, or hoping to find etc?

Hi Cas,

Sorry, busy watching on my tablet.

Time Team is a UK Archaeology Programme which ran for at least 10 years but has been 'dormant' for another 10.  They did 'live digs' over a 3 day weekend.  Some successful, some not and weather often interfered.  It was always engaging and frustrating in equal amount.

So, a New Team of presenters/Archaeologists have resurrected the 'Theme' on a Facebook Channel, but it appears hasn't yet been picked up by TV channels.

They are digging at a site in Cornwall, England that was unearthed a number of years ago.  It could be Iron Age.

Maybe other RCs can add more context.

Lovely to see some 'old faces' from the original series.  However the 'Presenter' is the polar opposite of Tony.

I miss Tony running around to be honest.

Thanks for that, Kit. The wife and I watched every episode and we have all their publications. It was a shame it ended and how it ended. We are debating whether to join Patreon, or not.

Hi Chas,

Great to see the 'Theme' back and a lot of 'old faces'.

I would certainly appreciate the series back.  The good thing is that those outside the UK can now enjoy it live on this new platform.

I really enjoyed it when they went overseas too.

Lets hope new blood/interest will ensure it continues.
