Humphrey Williams 1672 Will
« on: Tuesday 29 March 22 22:27 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I have viewed a 1672 Will made by Humphrey Williams of Battle near Brecon, Wales from the Library of Wales.  One of the executors was his son, another Humphrey Williams.
There is a Bond attached to the Will and the Bounders are Humphridus (Humphrey) Williams and David Williams.
I think it is clear that Humphrey Williams resided in Battle in the County of Brecon, and I think it states that David Williams did too.
I would be very grateful for someone to decipher the words in Latin underlined in the attached. I am pretty confident that they mean that David Williams lived in the same place (Battle, Breconshire)

Thanks once again!!

... de ead(em) in com(itatu) p(re)d(icto) gen(erosos)
... of the same, in the aforesaid county, gentlemen

Because the last word on the line is contracted, it isn’t possible to tell whether they are both gentlemen, or only David Williams, but I have assumed both.
