Whitworth family Earls Barton

I am trying to trace the family tree of William Whitworth born 1798 in Bedford and died 1854 in Earls Barton. The 1851 census shows him with his wife Sarah and children in Earls Barton. I have found a baptism record for William in 1798 showing his parents to be a William and Sophia Whitworth, I am trying to tie this branch of the Whitworth family in with the Earls Barton Whitworth family but cannot find the connection. Any help would be gratefully received.

Sarah's maiden name appears to be Sargeant/Sargeannt according to the childrens birth registrations

There is another 1851 entry for a William & Sarah Whitworth in Earls Barton - that William was b Earls Barton 1798

I think Williams parents were William and Sophia but cannot seem to get back any further

You say you are trying to tie them in to "the Earls Barton Whitworths" 

Why do you think they are connected if this William was b Bedfordshire?  Is it based purely on name & location or on some other factor?

The Whitworth family of Earls Barton were a huge family many of them married into wealthy families in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London, As the William I am trying to trace was Lord Of The Manor of Earls Barton, a title held by other Whitworth's before him, it would be likely the he is descended from one branch of that family.
