I have a great Uncle who died in similar circumstances during blackout.  He doesn’t appear in the civilian war death but he is in the local papers.

Could this accident have happened in a different county?

I suppose anything is possible but we were told Leicester. Could be like chinese whispers but after doing a broad search of the papers nothing comes up.
