It was number 1 Rydens Parade, Rydens Way. There were 5 shops with accommodation, No 1 - Greengrocer, No 2 -Off licence (I think) , No 3 -Drapers etc, No 4 - Newsagent & No 5 -Grocer. I have just looked at Google earth and No 1 & 2 appear to now be converted to housing. I see that they lived in Rydens Way in 1939, so did not move far when they got the shop. Ancestry has electoral registers for this area in the 1950's.
What information are you after on the family. Do you know who the parents of Richard were.
We have to be careful what information we give as we can't mention anyone living.
