Use the GRO indexes to get mmn.
Use freebmd to get the marriage dare/ place

Use familysearch to search census.

From that you should get somewhere.

Evening you cannot verify census, there's nothing to stop you searching the gro and looking for siblings

The reason I asked for help is I find it hard to navigate these places. I get very confused and muddled up and normally end up with nothing that help me.

I can see only one Mary Ann Sharman registered Great Yarmouth in the September quarter 1847

Mary Ann Sharman Sep 1847 Great Yarmouth vol 13 p 339.

No mother's maiden name given implying that she was illegitimate

What information does the marriage certificate give regarding her father and his occupation?

Looks like you need the marriage certificate to see if she named a father.
