William and Mary BUTLER

William BUTLER married Mary DIEHL at Alverstoke in Hampshire in August 1836.

By December 1841 they were in Bebington, Cheshire where William was a publican.

They had four children that I can find, all born/baptised Bebington.
1841 Adelaide
1843 Mary
1846 Geraldine
1848 William

In 1851 they were still in Bebington, William a hotel keeper. He was born 1815 Minster Tovell, Oxon and Mary 1812 in Lymington, Hampshire.

Can anyone find them in 1841 and 1861.

Thanks Kay.

Have since found Geraldine in 1861 in Lymington, staying with her aunt and uncle, but no sign of the others.

Also found that Adelaide died in 1853 so she won't appear in 1861.

As they were in Bebington in 1871 it does look likely they were in the area in 1861 :-\
