Probate note in legible Latin 1686 Please help!
« on: Thursday 05 May 22 18:54 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I have a probate note in Latin that is part of Margarett Powells Will Aberyscir Breconshire 1686

I think it reads:

Aberiskir

Estate of Margarett Powell deceased probated by Johann Wms (John Williams)..

and then I lose it!

I think it says that John Williams administered and probated the Will on behalf of David Williams infant of minor age who was nominated executor of the Will by the Testator.

The second clip indicates that John Williams was David Williams father.

Please let me know if this is correct as it is pivotal to my research into David Williams Gent of Battle who died in 1704.

Thanks again!

Hello Bookbox!

Once again you have really helped me with this genealogy of the Williams family of Battle Breconshire.

The information that this David was a minor helps me sort out the family tree. That tree has been a labyrinth of Williams's that has occupied me for several months.

I couldn't have sorted it out without your continued help and expertise!

I am very grateful for this Rootschat Forum and all the experts who populate it!

Thanks again..

Hi Redroger

Have looked without luck for the probate template you posted. Could you direct me to where it is?

Thank you
