As a matter of policy, we on Rootschat do not name the still-living.

If someone chooses to help via private message, then some additional information like geography would be needed

Apologies - I am based in Australia. Didn't think about naming living but a direction other than Service Records, Electoral Rolls or Ancestry as I have gained lots of information pre 1940s.  Thank you.

Which State in Australia?

Research in Australia’s difficult when searching for BMD records due to time restrictions. Eg for QLD:
births that took place more than 100 years ago
marriages that took place more than 75 years ago
deaths that occurred more than 30 years ago.

It is similar for other states. Anything more recent is difficult/impossible.

Have you looked on Trove?

Is there anything specific you are looking for?

Most of the tracking has been centred around NSW - it has been a difficult search due to similar names being used in multiple generations etc. Also suspected aliases.  Hadn't thought of trove - I guess that will be my next step. Yes it was mainly for my son's grandfather who had used an alias at one stage. There was references to 2 sisters in the ship manifest and through electoral rolls but then they disappeared.  There was also a brother? as the newspaper clip mentioned the groom being a 2nd son. It certainly has been for some exciting reading and wondering. Thank you again.

Cemetery records might be another place where you can glean snippets of information. One index here:

https://austcemindex.com/?state=NSW

Depending on dates, have you checked to see if/who the two sisters married?

Wills?

If you draw a blank in NSW it is probably worth checking other States.

Thanks - will investigate further.  Nothing of the sisters, they just disappeared after the 40s.  One has a service record so may look into that.

Sorry showing my age here, I thought the title said "Tracking Dishier Males", it reminded me of the expression my sister and her friends used to describe boys they found attractive "dishy".
Cheers
Guy
PS, I should add my sister died about 18 years ago and anything that brings back memories of her gives me a lovely warm feeling, thank you.
