Thanks Guy - just so people don't interpret my initial statement. I started searching for my late husband's father in the 1980s. It seems that the Disher males have not had it easy in regards to continuing with the name. They had either died young, or had sons who died young or as in my partner's generation fostered/adopted out. Hence why I am focusing on them for the time being. However, I will be happy with any information.
