There was a lot of coal produced in Castlecomer at that time, so it is highly likely that a carman from this locality was delivering coal.

Hola

Welcome to RootsChat, PT  :)

For others, here's the translation into English:

I am descended from John Brennan and Ellen Comerford so we are family. My great-granddaughter was Michael's sister-in-law. I went from Argentina with no idea what they were doing. I can confirm that Padre John Brennan was working as a coal carman.

There was a mine nearby - in fact the town where they lived was called 'The Colliery' which means 'THE Mine'.
My grandmother was Michael's sister's daughter. For any information I'm here!

Marcesi was last online here in February last year but should hopefully have notifications for replies turned on, and then should receive an e-mail to tell them of your post.

Good luck.

My apologies - should have translated this into English. It should say:
I am descended from John Brennan and Ellen Comerford so we are related. My great-grandmother was Michael's youngest sister. I had no idea they had gone to Argentina. I can confirm that John Brennan Roe was working as a coal carman.

There was a mine nearby - in fact the area where they lived was known as 'The Colliery' .
My grandmother was Michael's sister's daughter. For any information I'm here!
