DNA icon on Ancestry - does it mean anything?
« on: Tuesday 10 May 22 15:53 BST (UK) »
I keep seeing people in family trees on Ancestry with a small red and yellow DNA symbol next to it - is this just something users have added and it's a coincidence I've seen it in different places, or is it something that the Ancestry website adds and it has some meaning?

Picture attached.

Thanks!

Some people just add emojis to the ancestors name. One family I have seen, the tree owner added flowers after names, where the Sr or Jr suffix would be. So in your question, the tree owner added a symbol for themselves to spot the name easier in their tree.
