There is an earlier birth to the couple:
Elinor - September 19th 1807

Going back to your earlier post:
Mary baptised 16th August 1809 has a sponsor Anty Warren

Great pickup Heywood.  It gives me a few more names.  That will put their marriage before 1807.

Hi Oneday

What makes you feel the couple I mentioned yesterday - their use of the same christian-names, the right timescale, the right religion plus the right area in Wexford, rule out the couple I listed earlier?

Kind regards

Hi

Is it the Glanbrien Warrens of Ballyhuskard (Roman Catholic) Parish you are researching?

Regards
Hi LH,

Is the above the earlier post you are speaking of?

I have only just found this couple and know very little about where they are from.  This is why I put the post up as I need assistance if anyone is familiar with either of these names.

I am trying to confirm if I have my details correct in the first instance and then I can work further backwards.

I tend to think at this point it is more likely a connection with the second post you made.

Who knows it could be both! or it may be neither.

I think you might be well advised to say "Yes, thank you, very interested to know more", and follow-up privately with LH....

Or you could follow up on here - it would be interesting to see if LH is related  :)

If you have access to Catholic baptism indexes (some sites have these) and search for Warren, there are several references including Walt/er, Anty and other names.

Oylegate/Oilgate is in Edermine Parish.
Clonmore is an adjacent parish
https://www.johngrenham.com/browse/county_civil.php?county=Wexford

These parishes show Warren/Grannell in Tithe Applotments. This is later, 1820s/30s, than your dates but might be helpful.

Heywood,

The Warren's seem to jump around a bit within Wexford.  There are a lot of them.  It was only fluke I found the marriage which lead to them.

The sites I've search indicate that Warren is a very old name within Ireland and it was also known as Reynolds a name derived from the traditional Irish tongue.

I was looking at the Warrens in the area you mentioned - nowhere else.

Is it definitely the Warren/Grannell family you are searching?

It looks like Biddy/Beddy/Bridget Warren married Henry/Harry Grannell.  I have found 7 children.

One of them Cath looks to have married a relative of mine.

Before I give the surname away,  I just wanted to know if anyone had any history of this family around the Wexford area.  The earliest birth to the couple found by Heywood is in 1807.

The Warren surname connects to so many other names and Grannell has been varied a lot in its spelling depending on who wrote in the register records.

There is also a possibility they have some family in Dublin or Waterford areas from my research so far.

If anyone wants further information please let me know.
