Watson Family

Hello! I’ve had so much help so far with some other family from Scotland, but now I have a question with the other side of my family that came to Fremantle, Western Australia from England.

The only information I have is the mothers name is Rosina Watson and the father is Alec/Alick/Alex Watson. I know two of the children are Leslie A (boy) and Gertrude Minnie Watson (girl).
I have found the ship records of Rosina coming over with the two kids and then I found a record from the day before with an Alick J Watson coming over, which is why I think his name is spelt Alick. I can’t even find any marriage certificates for them either which is weird.

I can’t find any birth certificates at all for Leslie or Gertrude to make sure I have the correct fathers name. I’ve tried looking through Ancestry and the British newspaper archives but no luck so far.

Is there somewhere else I can look up birth certificates for England? I had previously used the Scotland’s People site which was great but is there something like this for England at all?

Yes I’ve seen those Rosina ancestry trees; mine is the one called ‘Blackie’. It seems harder to find any info on Alick, I can trace him once he is in Perth, Western Australia but not from when he was in England.

Alec/Alick's mother's maiden name was TUBB.

Rosina's was LAWRENCE. It would appear that her mother's maiden name was WATSON, also born Cuddington, Bucks.
