Welcome to RootsChat, bramblesandbranches  :)

You refer to him as Uncle. What else do you have on the family to help you pin down his birth details further?

There are only two births showing in England 1925 for someone with this name. The first has mother's maiden name of Warrior (3rt Qrt 1925). The other entry shows as Hood (4th Qrt 1925).

For a document showing place of birth you would need his birth certificate which you can order a copy of from the General Register Office.

The 1939 register may show him with his siblings depending when they were born.

The marriage registration has him as Edward J

Just to add the registration Monica found with mother Warrior is under Fitzsimmonds

Death registration has date of birth 8 May 1925 and middle name Joseph

If he's your uncle then he must be a sibling of one of your parents.

Do you know of any other uncles/aunts on that side?

What name & occupation does he give for his father when he married?

Is he your mother or fathers sibling?

If not - is he "uncle" because he married into the family?

In 1950, Edward Joseph Fitzsimmons (26), labourer and professional boxer, and his brother, Michael Christopher John Fitzsimmons (29), labourer and amateur boxer, both of 17 Birchfield Road, Liverpool, were involved in a fight about whether Liverpool or Everton would do better in the cup. As a result, George Frederick Kelly had to have his right eye removed. The brothers were put on trial and acquitted.
