Greetings all. I am stumped to progress my 4th GGmother Ann Dunkerley. Ann had a baby Mally Dunkerley as a spinster. I can trace from Mally but I can't trace accurately from Ann. The baptismal entry shows Ann as a spinster of Lower Moor

There is a marriage on 3 Jan 1825 in Manchester for an Ann DUNKERLEY to William SMITH (farmer)

The census for Oldham shows this Ann (Dunkerley) SMITH was born in Oldham about 1798. She died Oldham 1865.

There is a baptism 12 Aug 1798 in Oldham for Anne DUNKERLEY (born 6 Aug 1798) with father John DUNKERLEY and mother Mally.
This is in the Non-conformist / Independent chapel.


I think “Mally” can be a pet name for Mary.
