Death Of An Engineer

Below is a FreeREG record of an 1865 marriage in West Bromwich between Henry Silvester and Mary Ann Walters. The record says that Mary's father George Walters is deceased and was an Engineer.

Can any clever person work out when and how George the Engineer died and any other info about him ? How would you go about it ?
