Cause of death
« on: Friday 27 May 22 15:09 BST (UK) »
Hi.

Can anyone decipher the first line of the cause of death in the attachment?

The second line gives the date [19th April] on which my ancestor, Philip, fell down steps in his cellar/kitchen. The coroner also gave a verdict of 'accident', which is listed in the certificate.

I just can't decipher the words on the first line, presumably they were the injuries caused by the fall. Philip was in his late 80s at the time, which may also help decipher the words.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Teregram

I think you are right about Cellar. I was thinking they might have been on a ship.

Thank you all for your suggestions, I think injuries received are probably the correct words on the first line.

I really appreciate all of your help, thanks again.
