Brights of Greenwich

Kia ora

I am trying to find out a bit more information about these people:

The deaths of Edward and Judeth
Edward Bright married Judeth Waker 26 January 1625 St Alfege, Greenwich, Kent (by licence Dr Pope) and had two sons: Edward Bright 1 January 1626, William Bright, 11 October 1630 St Alfege, Greenwich, Kent

The marriage and deaths of William and Christian and her surname.
William Bright (1630) married Christian and they had two daughters Mary Bright 29 December 1647, Anne Bright 22 October 1650 St Clement Danes, Greenwich, Kent

All help much appreciated.

nga mihi (best wishes)
Bronwen Summers

Thanks for this, does the Chatham, Kent death have the name of a church please?

I had seen the Judeth one and realised it wasn't it.

There was only one church in Chatham at that time - St Mary.

Many thanks, I didn't have the name of his father so that is excellent.

Aaaah a little problem I think:

Less sure now that I have found
Edward died 1630 son of Augustine – St Mary, Chatham
Clare died 1638 daughter of August – St Nicholas, Deptford
Augustine died 1638 son of August – St Nicholas, Deptford
Anne died 1640 daughter of Augustine – St Nicholas, Deptford

Would Edward who was married and had two sons still have his father’s name listed, pretty unlikely I would have thought?

Well I have made a right old mess of this, those are all births, not deaths.

But my question remains
Would Edward who was married and had two sons still have his father’s name listed, pretty unlikely I would have thought?

I suspect the Edward you advised me of is the one born 1630 as a son of Augustine?
