There is a burial for an Edward BRIGHT 28th December 1630 at Chatham

It looks like he was the son of Augustine.

Many thanks for this bearkat, however my big questions is would a married man with children of his own have his father's name attached to his death register?

Just checked and this is not him as he was born 03 Oct 1630, son of Augustine.

I share your concern.  I don't think it's likely that a father would be named for an adult.
