Arthur Leggett Lincoln
« on: Tuesday 31 May 22 19:50 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find out if Arthur Leggett Lincoln born 3/8/1909 had any children? Illegitimate son of Beatrice Alice Lincoln. He married and died in Luton (cannot find my paperwork at the moment).

Use freebmd to search for Lincoln births with the mothers maiden name of whoever he married

www.freebmd.org.uk

His birthdate on his death reg is not 3.8.1909 - it's  21.7.1909

He married Rose London in 1928? As Carole mentions, you will find at least one child for them.

Freebmd included on their Births index the mother's maiden name from the 3rd Qrt 1911 onwards.

So, if you go to the site (as linked above by Carole), put in simply the family surname (Lincoln) and the mother's maiden name (London). The marriage was in 1928. You can search a range to cover births after then.

I don't want to name the child as birth is within 100 yrs and RC try to protect privacy etc.

Have a look at the birth of Lincoln child in 2 Qrt/June 1929, Norwich Vol 4b, pg 153.

All you have to do is use freebmd & search from the year of marriage for births surname Lincoln with a mothers maiden name of London

Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy so if that child is still alive no name can be published here.  My sister was born in 1929 & is still alive & I know 2 other people in their mid-90's who are still living
