GEORGE CROSS ASC WW!
« on: Wednesday 01 June 22 23:42 BST (UK) »
GEORGE CROSS died on 27 April 1918 after having served with the Army Service Corps and being medically discharged the previous year. He lived at 13 St Peter St, Dundee with his wife Elizabeth Patterson Cross. His name appears in the Dundee Roll of Honour.
George Cross is one of the thousands of soldiers who died as a result of war service but who were never commemorated as war casualties.
Does anyone out there know where GEORGE CROSS is buried? any information would be appreciated.

Are we sure that that site contains all the burials in the Western Cemetery? It doesn't look to me as if it's complete yet, but I can't find anything to tell me definitely one way or the other.

I think a newspaper announcement of the date and time of the funeral trumps a possibly incomplete transcription.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
