17 November 1852
« on: Thursday 02 June 22 11:28 BST (UK) »
I have his date of birth but no name!   17/11/1852
Place of birth Whittlesea Cambridgeshire.

Are the baptismal records for St Mary's Whittlesea available for that period - hopefully noting a 17/11/1852 birth ?

The first sighting of this guy was in 1885 when he got married and I have him on the 1891 census.  He died in 1910.   Done a load of searching to try to find him pre 1885 but nothing - come to the conclusion he changed his name before 1885 to the one he subsequently used.  Hoping to find his original name.   Thanks.

What name does he have after 1885?

As Louisa Maud says, does he have a father’s name and occupation on his marriage certificate?

Hi,

Here are images of the baptisms at St Mary Whittlesey for November 1852,

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9TK-23M6-T?i=707&cc=1465708&cat=1178026

and St Andrew's,

No-one for 17 November 1852.

You will be able to search forwards to see if you can find a later baptism. The records seem to be in the order of Birth, Marriage, Death for each year.

Regards,
Daisy

Thanks.
I have posted a number of posts in the past with his name after 1885 but deliberately not given this name as I have all the information about this guy post 1885.

The only reason I can think there's no sign of him pre 1885 is that he used another name.

( I have his date of birth from the Workhouse records for 1910 - the year he died,)

So  we  still don't   know what name he gave as a father upon  marriage,  that   might  have helped  find who he was
