But I wonder if this one is a possibility. I Know it is a bit earlier than expected.

which probably matches a baptism at St Mary Battersea of
on born 31 August 1850, baptised Sept 22nd 1850
George William ELSON son of Thomas and Hester. abode = Battersea. occupation = Plumber.
in 1851, Hester (as Esther) and George are visiting the PAY Family (indexed as TAY on Ancestry)
she is 30, born Kennington. George b Battersea.
And Thomas is a 'servant, a Potman" for a licensed victualler in Battersea. age 25, born Bridport.
It does say he is unmarried. Which is either true, in which case it's a different Thomas which seems unlikely, or an error.

Esther Elson was buried August 9th 1853 age 32 at St Mary's, Newington.
