Hello! Wondering if anyone is able to decipher what this information says in the about mother section.
Thank you!

You will get better results if you give full information.
Where was this issued ?

Who was the child?

You obviously have the entire certificate, what are the full particulars on it?

Its a poor copy and I can only make out Jane under the mothers maiden name section. you need to see the original parish register book from an archive (Baptism) or order a birth certificate that is hand written by the registrars staff from a register office ( Not GRO copy of their book) & from the original book.
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Okay thank you, I’ll see if I can get a copy perhaps.

The mothers name is Jane White/Carthy and the child is Jemima. I think it’s saying the child was born out of wedlock because her name goes on to be Jemima Blackie. So I’m trying to confirm if that was the case.

Thanks for the help.

As this record is from Scotlands People, I would ask them to provide you with a better copy.

As the other members are saying, give use the whole info you have on Jemimia, like the year she was born, where/place , mother  can you pick Jane/ illegitimate daughter Jemimia  up in the 10 year censuses in Scotland etc. If rootschat members can start from a datum/start line, they will soon find other info on Jane from their resources

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth
