I am looking for any information regarding my Great Granddad and his ancestors. William Noble was married in March 1883 and died in March 1915 in Rotherham South Yorkshire. Any information regarding his wife and ancestors would be welcome

Well he married Sarah Mary Ballan (can't get the marriage details but the other guy on the marriage index married a Mary who must be Mary Jackson).
Sarah Mary Ballan bapt Norton by Malton 23.5.1858 d of William and Jane Ballan labourer of Norton
Sister Charlotte bapt 12.2.1860 at Wath on Derne ,William is now a miner.

Sarah Mary 12 Norton
Charlotte 11 Wath on Derne
Rachel 7 Wath on derne

Jessie Jackson lodger 20 ummarried labourer at the oil works Norfolk Illington
As you can see the older two girls including Sarah have left home .Sarah looks to be in service in Bradford 10 Heaton Grove to Emil and Kahe Kafka commercial traveller

Her parents married at Wath on Derne 15.7.1857

Jane Preston 24 Wath d of William shoemaker
wit William Ridgill and Hannah Max

William died at Rotherham age 87 Sept qtr 1926 and Jane Mar qtr 1909 age 76 Rotherham
It looks like they stayed in Chapel st for the rest of their lives.
Children Sarah Mary 1858,Charlotte 1860,Rachel  sep 1863 qtr ,Rose Hannah  Mar qtr 1865 ,Rebecca Dec qtr 1868,Isaac Mar qtr 1873 ,and William Dec qtr 1875

Sarah Mary Noble died Dec qtr 1931 Rotherham age 73.

The census gives him as born c 1856 at West Malton
There is only one baptism at West Malton

His birth GRO register gives his mother's maiden name as Shepherd

It looks like Richard was baptised at Felkirk 13.10.1816 s of William and Sarah farmer of Bretton
which is half a mile from Shafton where he says he was born on the census.

It looks like William and Sarah married by licence 16.9.1816 .Both of Sandal Magna .She was Sarah Hattersley.Maybe because she was so pregnant.

William Noble bapt 6.1.1791 s of Richard at West Bretton.
