Latin Translation Please
« on: Thursday 16 June 22 21:41 BST (UK) »
Hello all.

I’ve tried Google translate but came up with the Latin underneath the name Frederickson on the left border, as “come together knitting!”

Help needed please!

Thank you. I'm wondering if the fact she is baptised aged 23 might have some link to it - possibly a conversion?

I have no idea, but ‘ad’ seems to mean ‘to’, and ‘fidem’ seems to mean ‘faithfully’ but the meaning might be different when they’re joined together.  :) I can’t find any meaning for the last word.

There are some rootschatters who are Latin experts so I’m sure they’ll be able to help you.  :)

Isn’t it Ad Fidem Conversa?

“To the faith converted”

Ah!! Yes! That makes sense! Thank you so much. Her Mother was CoE and she marries a Catholic …

Much appreciated
