Hi There,
This Family of Thomson originally of Dunn Scotland later to Berwickshire Northumberland.
Just trying to piece together the Family story
John Turnbull Thomson became a very important Pioneer surveying southern New Zealand....his brother
George Thomson a Commander of the Ship Poppy which ran between New Zealand and China......My brick wall...his other brother
Apparently another brother was also a Captain but in the British Navy and was drowned in the Magellan straits [I understand this to be China]
Ive included a small portion, as I believe it can only be one of three below..James or Alexander or Peter
Appreciate any help..Rick in Australia
