Sponsor John McE.....
Could you provide a link to the source or say which church + date so that people can look at a whole page to compare handwriting?

The original document is on ancestry.co.uk therefore I can’t provide a link that will open. The area is County Monaghan and the baptism date is 1851. I also cannot upload the whole page because the file is too big. I will see if there’s another way to get the whole page on here.

Was it a Catholic church? What was name of parish?

If you can find the page of the church register on the NLI site you can post a link to it.
NLI Catholic Registers is a free site. Everyone can access it if you do a link.
What date in 1851?

This link takes you to the page.

Comparing with other baptisms on those 2 pages, the word after child's name is place of residence, the townland. The word is split over 2 lines. It looks like Marnacly.

Thanks for the help. I’ve searched for that place but it doesn’t appear to exist. Thank you for your time.

Probably Maghernacloy townland in Magheracloone civil parish.
I found it by using Townland Explorer on S.Wilson Info website. Searched for townlands in County Monaghan.
Townland Search & Explorer
https://www.swilson.info/explorerb.php
Results arranged by Poor Law Union then by civil parish within each Union. It's in Carrickmacross PLU.
It's a useful website to search for Irish places with Soundex options.
