I think the first Mary died as there is a gap between Sovillah 1833 and Palmer 1838.  WRONG

William Pearson married Mary Dale 2 May 1831 Parish records

However Mary Dale was the daughter of James Palmer and Mary Dale  bap.8 November 1812 (bastard)

So first wife is Mary Dale/ Palmer, re birth of son George 1840 with mmn Palmer who died 1841.

When William Pearson marries 1843 his father is George Pearson - servant
Her father is James Palmer - shoemaker.
