Opinion on signature
« on: Sunday 26 June 22 15:54 BST (UK) »
Hi all

I have a copy of a church vestry record from 1826, I am interested in the signatures, on whether or not they are individually signed or whether the secretary (or whoever was writing the minutes) filled them in, the reason I am interested as one of these gentlemen is my 5X Grandfather.

The 3 "Williams" look to be in different hands. (First name line 3 & 4 and surname line 5)
Terry, Greenway, Hudson, Conway, Simmonds, Childs, Oram, Dee, Bennett, Smith, Sturge, Bolas, Gibbons

I would say that they are all different hands. What is the record about?

Thanks, Both,

Yes, I was hopeful that it was a genuine signature but wanted a second opinion, the record was from a church vestry meeting, think these would have been similar in all Parishes of the Church of England or this case Ireland.
